| Welcome
to the South Region Cycling Website, the aim of which is two-fold. |
Firstly, it is an aid and communication tool
for the South Region's members to inform them of local events,
latest news, results, and contacts, etc.
Secondly, it is a way of informing members of the public
about competitive cycling within our region so that anyone
with an interest in cycling can view this site and have access
to lots of useful information, as well as details of local
events and local cycling clubs.
The official website of British Cycling South Region is an
administrative arm of British Cycling - the National Governing
Body for cycle sport in Great Britain. Exploring this website
will give you an idea of just some of the many areas where
development, support, management and promotion is constantly
ongoing. |

British Cycling Regions
British Cycling recognises 10 key Regions within England
plus Wales and Scotland. In 2006, the Competition Review Framework
was introduced and a Members' Region became defined by where
you live as opposed to the Region of your Club.
South Cycling is one of the 10 Regions within England and
covers the counties of Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, the Channel
Islands, and also parts of Gloucestershire, Somerset, and
Berkshire.
By clicking on this
link you will find a complete list of the Postcode Areas
(eg PO) which have been allocated to the South Region. Where
necessary this has been defined further by Postcode Districts
(eg PO10) and Postcode Sectors (eg PO10 7AA) to ensure the
highest level of accuracy.
